SEND Maths Teacher (Secondary)
Location: Liverpool
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time – Temporary to Permanent
Pay: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS), depending on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and committed SEND Maths Teacher to join a specialist school in Liverpool, supporting secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This full-time role will begin on 1st September 2025, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to students with SEMH needs
2. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
3. Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet individual student needs
4. Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and external professionals
5. Manage behaviour positively and promote emotional well-being
Requirements:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
7. Proven experience working with students with SEMH
8. Strong subject knowledge in Maths, up to GCSE level
9. Excellent classroom management and communication skills
10. Ability to build trusting, positive relationships with challenging learners
11. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one
