A small, 1-form entry primary school in Wandsworth is seeking a Nursery Assistant to join their expanding Early Years team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and wants to gain valuable experience in an inspiring and nurturing school environment. The school welcomes applications from graduates and experienced Nursery Assistants alike.

1-form entry community primary school for ages 211
Beautiful classical building with modern facilities and large outdoor play areas
Expanding Early Years provision: 2-year-old (24 pupils) and 3-year-old (32 pupils) settings, with a 9-month provision launching in January
High EAL population (around 60%) with over 49 languages spoken
Recently restructured leadership team bringing a fresh and forward-thinking approach
Five new teachers, including three ECTs, creating an energetic and collaborative environment
Values-led recruitment ethos: skills can be taught
Mornings focus on early development and learning, with afternoons offering creative and play-based enrichment activities
The Role:
Supporting children aged 24 with their early learning, play, and personal care needs
Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive
Assisting with planned EYFS activities in phonics, early maths, and expressive arts
Encouraging curiosity, confidence, and social development through play
Hours: 08:3015:30 with a 30-minute break
Were Looking For:
Experience working with children aged 24 (Nursery or Early Years setting preferred)
A caring, patient, and reliable approach to supporting young learners
Good understanding of child development and the EYFS Framework
A relevant Level 2/3 Early Years qualification (desirable but not essential)
An Enhanced DBS certificate
