Rehabilitation Specialist – Oxford Hospital
• Permanent – Part‑Time – 18 hours per week
• Salary: Up to £27,985.32 pro rata per annum, dependent on experience.
• Location: Nuffield Health Oxford Hospital – The Manor
Responsibilities
* Organise and run rolling 12‑week rehabilitation programmes.
* Facilitate and deliver both live‑stream and in‑person group exercise classes for participants with varying degrees of ability.
* Promote self‑directed activity using pre‑recorded on‑demand classes and a participant journal.
* Re‑calibrate exercises and intensities based on participants’ progress.
* Identify deterioration in participants, follow internal escalation processes, and ensure accurate reporting within required time‑frames.
* Engage in weekly one‑to‑one telephone conversations with each participant to coach goal‑setting, monitor progress, provide emotional wellbeing support, and empower self‑management after the 12‑week programme.
Qualifications & Skills
* Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification – essential.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Prior experience working as a Rehabilitation Specialist or in a related rehabilitation role (preferred).
* Understanding of rehabilitation principles; a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation is desirable but not essential.
* Good written and spoken English; strong numeracy skills.
* Problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
* Organisational ability and effective decision‑making skills.
* Time and resource management.
* Experience working with vulnerable adults.
