Overview: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Stores Person. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of materials within our organization, ensuring that parts and supplies are efficiently stored, located, and distributed as needed. Responsibilities:
* Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders or other documents.
* Safely and accurately store materials in designated locations within the warehouse or storage area.
* Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
* Pick, pack, and ship materials to internal departments or external customers as required.
* Coordinate with procurement and production teams to fulfil material requisitions in a timely manner.
* Perform data entry tasks to update inventory records and transaction logs using computerized systems.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a similar role within a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
* Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
* Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training will be provided if necessary).
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
