We’re now looking for a talented and creative Video Manager to join our established Marketing team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced storyteller and videographer who is passionate about creating authentic, emotionally engaging content that makes a genuine impact.
Role
As Video Manager, you’ll lead the full production process — from concept through to delivery — creating compelling visual content across a wide range of platforms and campaigns. A key part of the role will involve travelling across the UK to film client stories, corporate events, charity partnerships, and brand campaigns.
You’ll work closely with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to produce high‑quality content that captures real experiences with professionalism, empathy, and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Storytelling
* Travel regularly across the UK to film client stories, workplace features, events, and charity partnership content.
* Conduct sensitive and empathetic interviews, ensuring contributors feel comfortable and supported throughout filming.
* Plan and organise shoots, building trust with clients and families ahead of production.
* Capture cinematic, engaging footage that authentically reflects client experiences.
* Independently manage all aspects of filming, including:
o Camera operation
o Multi-camera setups
o Audio recording
o Lighting
o Interview direction
o Composition and production troubleshooting
* Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, compliance requirements, and company values.
* Collaborate with the social media team to create platform‑optimised content, including vertical video formats for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
Production & Technical Delivery
* Operate a variety of professional production equipment, including cinema and mirrorless cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and stabilisation systems.
* Maintain high production standards across audio, lighting, framing, colour balance, and overall technical quality.
* Troubleshoot technical issues calmly and effectively during shoots.
* Manage, maintain, and organise filming equipment and media assets.
* Ensure all production kit is fully prepared and ready for use.
Editing & Post‑Production
* Edit engaging, high‑quality video content for a variety of audiences and channels.
* Produce:
o Long‑form case study videos
o Social media content
o Event highlight reels
o Internal communications videos
o Campaign and commercial assets
* Manage all aspects of post‑production, including:
o Video editing
o Colour grading and correction
o Audio balancing and clean‑up
o Motion graphics
o Subtitles and captions
o Music selection and formatting
* Maintain consistency in storytelling, pacing, tone, and visual identity.
* Manage multiple projects effectively while meeting deadlines.
Events & Brand Content
* Film and produce content for:
o Corporate events
o Charity and fundraising campaigns
o Internal conferences
o Recruitment and employer brand campaigns
o Staff engagement initiatives
* Capture dynamic footage, interviews, and behind‑the‑scenes content in fast‑paced environments.
* Contribute creative ideas to wider marketing and brand campaigns.
Stakeholder Management
* Build strong working relationships with:
o Senior stakeholders
o Solicitors and internal teams
o Clients and families
o PR agencies
o Charity representatives and external partners
* Coordinate filming schedules, logistics, and stakeholder communications professionally and efficiently.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with exceptional storytelling skills and emotional intelligence.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a videographer, filmmaker, or content producer.
* Strong documentary‑style storytelling and interview skills.
* Experience filming sensitive real‑life or human‑interest stories.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to help contributors feel relaxed and confident on camera.
* Advanced knowledge of professional filming equipment and production techniques.
* Strong understanding of:
o Cinematography and composition
o Audio capture
o Lighting techniques
o Multi‑camera production
* Proficiency in editing software such as:
o Adobe Premiere Pro
o DaVinci Resolve
o Final Cut Pro
* Experience managing productions independently from concept to completion.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and perform well under pressure.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally, including overnight stays where required.
Desirable
* Knowledge of emerging AI video technologies and creative platforms such as Seedance 2.0, VEO3, Google Nonbanana, and OpenArt.ai.
