Company Overview A leading manufacturer of precision-engineered components is seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join its engineering team at the head office in Shipley. Key Responsibilities * Interpret 3D models and generate CNC part programs using CAM systems * Create, simulate, and validate CNC programs using post processors and prove-out tools * Use software such as Vericut, Veriprog, and Mazak Smooth to ensure programs are production-ready * Prepare setup sheets and documentation for production teams * Collaborate with internal teams to improve tooling, processes, and overall machining efficiency * Maintain safe working practices in line with machine safety standards Essential Skills and Experience * Proficient in offline and online CNC programming * Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and setup practices * Experience using 3D CAD/CAM software and simulation tools * Competent in using Siemens NX or similar CAM platforms * Familiarity with software including Vericut, Veriprog, and Mazak Smooth * Solid understanding of CNC machine safety standards * Formal qualification in mechanical engineering (minimum Level 3 or equivalent) * Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills Desirable Attributes * Able to work collaboratively across departments and take initiative * Detail-oriented with a high standard of quality * Comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment * Ability to adapt to changing requirements and deadlines Benefits Included * Starting salary of £38,000 * Annual engineering bonus scheme * Competitive pension scheme * Westfield Health and BUPA membership options * Non-contractual life assurance * Flexible working hours (Admin Flexi pattern)
