We have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager to join our team within Vistry West Yorkshire, at our Wakefield site. As our Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function, manage a team of AP clerks, ensure deadlines are met, develop team members, and improve processes.
1. Manage a team of AP clerks
2. Improve and streamline processes
3. Enhance team coordination
4. Analyze, prioritize, and direct the team to focus on old debt resolution
5. Run weekly aged creditor reports
6. Hold regular team meetings
7. Improve communication with suppliers, buyers, and sites
8. Update FD weekly on progress
9. Oversee supplier statement reconciliations
10. Manage credit control for cash inflow
11. Generate and review payment runs in line with timetable
12. Cover AP clerk absence
13. Resolve high-level queries
14. Analyze and allocate workload
15. Train new employees
16. Highlight areas of concern
17. Assist the team where necessary
