Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our Governance Team in the GRaDE care group (Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Respiratory and Diabetes & Endocrinology).
You will be providing secretarial support to the Governance Team to assist them in the delivery of an effective Quality Governance Framework and Risk Management Strategy to enhance the quality and safety of the services provided within the care group.
Our expectation is that you will be able to demonstrate competent organisational skills and initiative, prioritising your own work to meet deadlines whilst maintaining the high standards within the department.
Main duties of the job
JOB PURPOSE
* To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Healthcare Governance Team within GRaDE. To organise the clinical, administrative and clerical systems which support the Healthcare Governance strategies.
* Provide a secretarial service to the Medical Governance Leads and Governance Team within GRaDE.

* Respiratory Medicine
All three directorates operate on the Northern and Central campus’ although the acute admitting base for all of the specialties is at the Northern General Hospital. The Care Group has 11 acute base wards at the Northern General Hospital and one acute and one elective base ward at the Central Campus. Outpatient services operate on both campus’ and are supported by the Patient Booking Hub at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Qualifications
* Typewriting or equivalent Qualification
* Minimum 3 GCSE at grade C/4 or above, including English Language or equivalent qualifications / experience
* NVQ3, RSA3, ECDL or equivalent experience or qualifications
* Good working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office
* Competent and trained on Lorenzo
* Competent and trained on use of Datix system
* Competent in use of digital dictation E.G MS Teams, G2
* Loggist or willing to complete Loggist training
Experience
* Experience in arranging and co-ordinating multidisciplinary meetings.
* Formulating agenda and producing accurate minutes.
* Ability to manage a caseload to meet both internal and external deadlines
* Experience working in a busy office environment and with an understanding of administrative and clerical procedures
* Experience of dealing with confidential and personal issues with sensitivity
* Understanding of medical terminology
* Meeting with members of the public and patients
* Relevant experience of working in the NHS in a post requiring administrative, secretarial and office management systems
