An exciting opportunity has arisen for a n enthusiastic and motivated Lead Administrator to work alongside and support our administration team. You will be carrying out and supervising the day-to-day administration tasks for referrals to the CAMHS teams. As Lead Administrator, you will also be the first point of contact for the Managers and Clinical Team Lead s, Consultant Psychiatrists and c linicians. The post is for 30 hours, ie 4 days a week 9am - 5pm (0.8wte). You will be based at Erlegh House, in the University of Reading.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills; have the ability to multi-task and prioritise, be familiar with the Trust computer systems and have very good IT skills. You will need to be efficient in using Teams, Outlook, Excel and Word packages. You will have p revious experience of supervising others, and administration experience is essential to the rol e, as well as a resilience to deal with its fast pace, patient- focus and the sometimes emotionally distressing nature of mental health issues.
The CAMHS Teams provide assessments, therapeutic interventions, and care coordination for children and young people who are experiencing moderate to severe complex mental health difficulties. We work as a close and supportive multi - disciplinary team and in partnership with other CAMHS teams and external agencies to provide high quality and holistic mental health care to young people.
To lead and support the CAMHS a dministration t eam by coordinating and actioning the incoming day to day administration tasks from all members of the clinical teams .
You will deal with telephone enquiries from patients, carers, staff and other professionals in a careful and sensitive way and taking appropriate action in a timely manner .
1:1 supervision and appraisals for the administration team.
Using e Roster system to input annual leave requests and sickness absence.
Liaising with Estates/IT and other services to resolve daily issues.
To support the Business Support Manager, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
Helping with the recruitment and induction of new administrative staff and supporting new starters/clinical trainees.
P reparing documentation and collating data and a genda for the Team Business Meeting.
Minute taking and distribution, following up on actions and being aware of meeting deadlines.
Input confidential correspondence, produce requested reports and other documentation to a high standard within an agreed timescale using software packages.
You will be expected to act on your own initiative to ensure the effective running of the service, prioritising your own workload with guidance from the Team Lead and Business Support Manager.

The "must haves" for this role:
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment.
Knowledge and experience of administration leadership, supervision, and management of administration staff and staff appraisals.
European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent knowledge and experience of using a variety of software programmes, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams.
Excellent digital typing skills .
