Broad Heath is an inner-city school supporting 680 fantastic pupils. We are seeking a passionate, resilient, and ambitious Learning Support Assistant to join our school and inspire a generation of children. What is the job role? The role may be full-time or part time (Term Time only) and is on a Fixed Term basis (Maternity Cover), with a view to starting as soon as possible. Duties & Responsibilities To understand what the learning intention is in every lesson and their role in the teaching. To understand the term equity and equal opportunities in a learning context and apply it, ensuring all children are learning and there is inclusion. To be able to offer a variety of skills which will enhance children’s learning. Review daily children’s learning and inform class teacher about children’s response to the tasks/fill in records when asked. Ensure classroom equipment is orderly and maintained and there is no equipment left out at the end of the day. This means in and directly outside your class. Ensure equipment is ready for the whole day’s teaching. This may involve lifting and re-organising equipment. Promote learning, by creating vibrant and quality displays in the class and around the school following the school display policy. Work with other LSAs if asked to do so. Who are we looking for?
