Recycling Assistant
Hourly Rate: £12.71
Hours: 40 hours per week, working on a rota basis

As a Recycling Assistant at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient and customer-focused Recycling Centre service. You will support the recycling team in promoting reuse and recycling, assisting members of the public with waste disposal and ensuring site operations meet Health & Safety and environmental standards.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working a 6 days on 3 days off rota, including weekends and Bank Holidays as required.

What will you be doing?
* Operating the Recycling Centre safely and efficiently in line with company procedures
* Providing excellent customer service and assisting members of the public with waste disposal
* Actively encouraging reuse and recycling to maximise recycling rates
* Ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) standards are followed at all times
* Carrying out daily site inspections and safety checks
* Identifying and intercepting reusable items in line with reuse principles
* Recording waste movements, inspections and site data accurately
* Wearing company uniform and PPE correctly at all times
* Supporting the Recycling Team Leader with daily operational requirements
