Are you a confident communicator with a passion for customer engagement and sales growth? We’re looking for a proactive and personable Internal Sales Specialist to join our clients team and help strengthen their independent customer base. This is a part time role, 22.5 hours per week (Flexible: 3 full days or 5 shorter days)
Role
As an Internal Sales Specialist, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers—particularly smaller, independent accounts—with a clear focus on revenue growth, customer retention, and increasing overall spend.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Proactively contacting customers through outbound calls, using pre-defined call lists and meeting daily call targets.
* Analysing customer data to understand buying habits, identify trends, and uncover new sales opportunities—reaching out to both lapsed and active customers.
* Handling inbound enquiries, understanding customer needs, and converting them into sales.
* Taking a consultative approach to sales—listening, advising, and offering tailored solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
* Keeping customer records accurate and up to date, ensuring all interactions and opportunities are logged.
* Working towards and achieving weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets.
Skills & Experience
Ideally you:
* Have experience in outbound internal sales and are confident speaking with customers over the phone.
* Are comfortable analysing data to identify opportunities and recommend relevant products.
* Possess a curious, solution-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Are highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Have strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to follow up and close sales.
* Bring a positive, sales-driven attitude and a genuine desire to grow customer accounts.
