Retail Collection & Delivery Driver Location: Base Donation Centre, Queen Margaret’s Road, Scarborough and covering North Yorkshire and Ryedale Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 Salary: £24,441 per annum Make a Difference Every Day At Saint Catherine’s Hospice, our retail shops are a vital part of funding the specialist care we provide for patients and families across our community. We’re now looking for a motivated and reliable Retail Collection & Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being out on the road, working with people, and supporting a cause that really matters. The Role As our Retail Collection & Delivery Driver, you’ll: Collect and deliver donated goods, furniture and stock between shops, donors and customers. Ensure safe handling, loading and unloading of items, including heavy furniture. Provide excellent customer service and represent the hospice with professionalism. Help keep shops clear of waste, taking items to recycling centres as needed. Carry out basic vehicle checks, ensuring hospice vans are kept safe, roadworthy and clean. Support retail shops, staff and volunteers with stock management. Assist with occasional fundraising events and activities. Work flexibly across locations, with some weekend work required. About You We’re looking for someone with: A full clean driving licence (including ability to drive a 3.5 tonne van). Experience of driving in a work capacity (multi-drop or delivery experience desirable). A good level of physical fitness to safely move and handle stock/furniture. Friendly, helpful and professional attitude. Flexibility to support the wider retail team, including occasional weekend work. It would be an advantage if you also have experience in retail, charity shops or logistics, knowledge of safe manual handling, and/or First Aid training. Why Work for Saint Catherine’s Hospice?
