Parts Call Handler Location: Duxford, Cambridgeshire Contract: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday: 9:00am - 5:30pm Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm Salary: £29,000 - £30,000 per annum Holiday: 25 days annual leave bank holidays About the Role Are you a confident communicator with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for customer service? We're looking for a Parts Call Handler to join our clients friendly and fast-paced team in Duxford. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for incoming calls and emails, supporting both customers and internal teams with parts enquiries. You'll play a key role in ensuring every request is handled efficiently, professionally, and with a personal touch. Key Responsibilities Respond to inbound calls and emails, assisting internal colleagues and external customers with parts-related queries. Monitor the central mailbox to ensure all requests are picked up and actioned promptly. Collaborate with Parts Detailers to follow up on requests and ensure timely completion. Liaise with the finance team for cash sale approvals and support the parts warranty return process. Use the IDMS Role Centre dashboard to track open quotations and keep customers updated. Pass confirmed 'supply and fit' requests to Service Coordinators for seamless handover. Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues, understanding their needs and sharing insights. Take ownership of every interaction, delivering service that reflects our high standards. What We're Looking For Previous experience in a customer service or call handling role, ideally within automotive or construction equipment. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to build rapport quickly. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and genuine enthusiasm for helping others. Comfortable working in a busy environment where accuracy and teamwork are key. Basic computer literacy and confidence using systems to manage customer information. Bonus Skills (Not Essential): Knowledge of parts and components used in construction machinery. Experience with CRM or inventory management systems.
