Role overview: We are seeking a motivated retail assistant to join our trading team, acting as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK and taking responsibility for the shop on Sundays.
Responsibilities include:
* Overseeing shop operations on Sundays, including keyholder duties (training provided) and supporting volunteers.
* Helping achieve sales and fundraising targets.
* Reviewing and processing donations and stock.
* Generating creative ideas to increase income, with guidance from the Shop Manager.
* Providing excellent customer service to supporters and customers.
* Maintaining shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance, and health and safety.
* Performing manual handling and physical activities as required.
Ideal candidate qualities:
* Knowledge of excellent customer service.
* Experience in lively, vibrant environments.
* Adaptability and ability to work independently or in a team.
* Commercial awareness.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, balancing work and personal life.
