HGV Technician
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our clients team in Oxfordshire. You’ll be responsible for carrying out inspections, repairs, and MOTs across a varied fleet, making sure everything meets manufacturer standards and complies with legislation.
What you’ll be doing
1. Conducting thorough HGV inspections, servicing, repairs and warranty work.
2. Diagnosing faults and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
3. Ensuring all service reports, paperwork, and electronic job sheets are completed accurately.
4. Maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant workshop environment.
5. Completing all necessary training to keep your skills up to date.
6. Mentoring and supporting apprentice technicians.
7. Providing roadside assistance for breakdowns.
8. Offering occasional cover at other depots when required.
9. Carrying out any additional duties within your skills, as requested by management.
What we’re looking for
10. City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV maintenance or 10+ years of proven hands-on HGV experience.
11. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics and mechanical systems.
12. Good understanding of current health & safety regulations.
13. Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
