Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale Physical Education ECT A high-achieving Secondary School in Reading is seeking a professional and highly organised Physical Education (PE) Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their experienced athletic and academic team. Responsibilities will include maintaining student progress and physical development records, updating school tracking systems, managing departmental correspondence, supporting attendance administration, and assisting with the organisation of school sports fixtures, sports days, and an extensive extracurricular training timetable. You will also support communication with parents, students, and external sporting agencies while ensuring that information is handled professionally and confidentially at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to coordinate fixtures, manage transport logistics, and handle multiple responsibilities within a busy school environment. The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and highly mindful of health, safety, and risk assessment protocols both independently and as part of a collaborative PE faculty. Good IT skills and confidence using physical data tracking and administrative systems are important, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.
