Job Title: Senior Town Planner

The Role
The successful candidate will work on a wide range of projects across sectors including residential, commercial, rural, and renewable energy developments. You will be involved in all stages of the planning process, providing strategic advice, managing applications, and engaging with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and deliver planning projects from initial concept through to determination
2. Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals
3. Undertake site appraisals, research, and planning due diligence
4. Liaise and negotiate with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants
5. Prepare high-quality reports and written advice
6. Support and attend community engagement events
7. Build and maintain strong client relationships
8. Contribute to project strategy and delivery
9. Manage your own workload effectively while working within a collaborative team
Requirements
10. Chartered Town Planner or working towards RTPI membership
11. Experience in the public and/or private sector (consultancy or client-side)
12. Strong understanding of the UK planning system and policy framework
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
14. Ability to manage projects independently and use initiative
15. Strong organisational and time management skills
16. Good IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and web-based systems
17. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
18. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
