The Role As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will take ownership of a mixed portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services while working closely with partners and colleagues. Your responsibilities will include: * Managing and reviewing corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns * Providing tax planning and advisory support, identifying opportunities for tax efficiency * Managing tax compliance processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission * Handling HMRC enquiries and liaising directly with tax authorities * Supporting VAT compliance and advisory work, including registrations and queries * Preparing and reviewing P11D and PAYE Settlement Agreements * Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and sharing insights with the team * Supporting and mentoring junior team members as appropriate * Contributing to the ongoing growth and development of the tax department What They’re Looking For * 6 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice (essential) * Strong experience across corporation tax and personal tax * AAT qualified or ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or part-qualified * Ability to manage clients, deadlines and workloads independently * Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail * Experience using tax and accounting software such as IRIS, CCH, Sage and/or Xero * Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills * You must have at least 4 years UK Practice experience This role is practice-only — candidates from industry or in-house tax backgrounds will not be considered.
