Job Description
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across a range of secondary schools throughout the Monmouthshire area including Caldicot, Chepstow and Abergavenny. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and want to make a positive impact in education.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide tailored support within the classroom. You may support individual pupils, small groups, or whole-class activities, helping students to engage with learning and develop confidence and independence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting students with their learning and classroom participation
2. Assisting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND requirements
3. Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting student wellbeing
4. Working collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver effective support
5. Helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
6. Providing academic and pastoral support where required
What We’re Looking For
7. Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
8. A positive, patient, and supportive approach
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
10. The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
11. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
