About The Role
The newly established School of Law and Society is looking to appoint a Lecturer (Academic) in Corporate Law (Fixed term) to strengthen the delivery of corporate law in its suite of law programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Responsibilities
* Deliver teaching of corporate law across the LLB Law, LLB Legal Practice SQE, and LLM Legal Practice SQE programmes.
* Contribute to the leadership and teaching of at least one of the following subject areas: contract law, tort law, land law or employment law.
* Undertake research that aligns with BU’s 2035 strategy.
* Assist in embedding the university within the professional legal community through engagement with partner solicitor firms, chambers, public bodies, NGOs and alumni.
Qualifications
* Academic experience in corporate law with teaching experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
* Research record aligned with the strategic priorities of the university.
* Ability to engage and collaborate with the professional legal community.
* Strong commitment to the fixed‑term teaching role and to the development of students.
