What you’ll be doing
1. Work with data models to understand how identity information is structured and used.
2. Investigate data issues, identify root causes, and support fixes.
3. Analyse data flows to understand gaps, risks, or inconsistencies.
4. Use AI tools to help improve data quality and strengthen platform stability.
5. Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across the Identity and wider Digital teams.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who’s curious, eager to learn, and passionate about solving problems.
As a Data Engineering Apprentice, you’ll study for the recognised apprenticeship of Data Engineering Level 5.
Qualifications
5 GCSEs at grade 4–9 (C or above), including Maths, English, and Science, or SCQF Level 5.
2 A Levels at BB or above (or equivalent) in STEM subjects such as IT, Data, Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, or Physics.
