The job itself
Lady in her 40's with learning difficulties living in Bridlington is looking for a female support worker for social activities and support with her daily living.
9 hours per week for all aspects of personal cares: suggested timings are: Morning calls 8.30-9.15am Monday - Friday & Saturday 9.30-10.30am. However, these timings can be flexible.
17.5 hours per week for social activities. Personal care will be required for some activities such as swimming & going to the gym.
This lady needs encouragement and support with a healthy lifestyle, she exercises regularly this includes walking, swimming and going to the gym and she requires support to do this. She also enjoys arts and crafts. This lady is looking for someone who can keep her motivated with encouragement, who has a friendly and patient nature. Support with personal care is needed at times.
It would be advantageous for applicants to have experience in working with adults who have learning disabilities.
Applicants must be flexible, honest, and reliable. It is essential that applicants are motivated and able to use their own initiative whilst supporting this lady.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post - Cost to be met by the local authority.
