Working as our Senior MSK Physiotherapist, you'll provide assessment and treatment for adults with MSK conditions, including some older teenage patients, through specialist MSK treatments to maximize their rehabilitation outcomes. You will represent the Lead MSK Physio in their absence and support senior staff in the Therapy department with daily responsibilities, service development, and hospital initiatives. You will participate in staff supervision and training, facilitating the optimal running of the MSK physiotherapy department. Establishing and maintaining effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team (both internal and external) is essential to ensure holistic care. This includes verbal, non-verbal, and written communication, emphasizing active listening and accurate information exchange.
How you'll help us make health happen:
1. Manage your patient load independently, practicing as an accountable professional using reflective practice and clinical reasoning to undertake specialist assessments and develop individualized treatment programs.
2. Obtain ongoing informed consent, involving patients in their healthcare plans and providing education to support self-management.
3. Develop care programs for MSK patients through assessment and specialist treatments to maximize rehabilitation outcomes.
4. Advocate for your patients' needs within the multidisciplinary team, attending MDT meetings as required.
5. Provide information, education, and support tailored to your patient group.
6. Adhere to confidentiality policies set by Cromwell Hospital (CH), HCPC, and CSP.
7. Respect patients' rights to chaperoning and implement the hospital's chaperone policy appropriately.
8. Take accountability for your clinical and non-clinical actions.
9. Maintain accurate and timely patient treatment records.
10. Manage clinical risks within your caseload, communicating and addressing potential risks effectively.
11. Promote dignity, privacy, and safety, considering each patient's cultural, spiritual, and personal needs and preferences.
