We are looking to hire a Senior Client Accountant role to work on one of our largest instructions as part of the national portfolio team. This includes assisting on the day to day client accounting and reporting on a portfolio of UK Industrial and Office buildings.

Our Commercial Property Asset Management department has a vacancy for a Senior Client Accountant to provide support to the Partners and team. The role is to work on one of our largest instructions as part of the national portfolio team. The role includes assisting on the day to day client accounting and reporting on a portfolio of UK Industrial and Office buildings. The successful candidate will join the team who are dedicated to this specific client.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
1. Preparing monthly reporting as required
2. Attendance at client meetings and regularly reporting to the client
3. Preparation of variance analysis with explanations for them
4. Rent Raising and other adhoc charges
5. Organising and Managing cash balances for rent and non recoverable items including payovers and funding requests
6. Processing database amendments on the system
7. Assisting with service charge budgeting, reconciliation and cash reconciliation
8. Proving support for junior staff
9. Liaison with credit control, purchase ledger & treasury teams
We would expect the successful candidate to liaise with Surveyors and on site staff based in different locations through the country and also with the specialist teams within the accounts team. Treasury, Accounts Payable and Credit Control. We would also expect the candidate to be confident in dealing directly with client and tenant queries.
We are looking for an organised, driven and energetic individual who can pick up systems quickly and has a good accounting knowledge. They need to have a proven track record of delivering to a high standard in line with all set deadlines. Ideally we are looking for someone for with relevant experience of working in a property agency environment.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
Full Client/Management Accounting:
10. Knowledge & Experience of Client Reporting in various formats
11. Production of Client Statements and supporting reports in line with Client KPI’s
12. Happy to attend and present to reporting at client meetings
13. Tax reporting & HMRC Submissions (CIS, VAT, NRL).
14. Distribution of Rental Income & Control of Cash Balances
15. Database & Lease Administration
16. Full Client & Tenant liaison
Service Charge Accounting:
17. Service charge reviews & Cash Reconciliations
18. Control of Void Liabilities & Caps
19. Cashflows & Budget Variance Analysis
20. Liaising with 3rd Party Auditors
Working with:
21. Client accountants - Supervision and assisting more junior members of the team
22. Credit control
23. Purchase ledger
24. Treasury
25. Surveyors, Facility Management, On-site staff, Associates, Partners
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
26. Experienced Client Accountant or Senior Client Accountant experience within a similar environment
27. Systems Experience: Yardi Voyager Payscan Proficient Microsoft Excel & Word skills
