Help Shape a Child’s Future – One Shift at a Time
Not everyone is cut out for this work. But if you’ve ever felt that pull—to be someone who shows up when it matters most, who listens, who believes in every child’s potential—this role will feel like home.
We’re looking for Bank Support Workers to join a small, specialist residential school in the heart of Bromyard. This isn’t just another care job. It’s a chance to support young people aged 9 to 17 with a variety of additional needs—children who may not have thrived in mainstream settings but who, with the right support, can flourish.
Why One-to-One Support Changes Lives
In this setting, one-to-one support isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. It’s what helps children build trust, feel safe, and engage with the world around them.
Whether you’re helping with communication, encouraging social interaction, guiding them through emotional regulation, or supporting learning in subjects like art, physical education, or life skills, your presence becomes a bridge to progress.
Research shows that SEN learners benefit significantly from tailored, consistent support—it builds confidence, fosters independence, and helps unlock their potential in a way large group settings can’t.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work as part of a dedicated, close-knit team to:
* Support children through their routines, both academic and personal
* Build strong, trusting relationships that offer stability and encouragement
* Help children develop emotionally, socially, and physically
* Use a range of creative tools, spaces, and activities—from sport to music to life skills training
* Be hands-on in supporting education plans designed specifically around each child’s needs
You won’t do this alone. The school is set up for success—with thoughtful staffing ratios, spacious facilities, and a culture built on mutual respect, teamwork, and compassion.
The Team Behind You
You’ll be joining a team that’s more than just supportive—they’re invested. From the leadership to the newest member of staff, everyone here believes in collaboration. You’ll be surrounded by experienced professionals who will guide you, back you, and give you room to grow into your role.
There’s no rigid script here. You’ll be encouraged to bring your own style, your creativity, and your energy to the way you support and connect with the children. It’s a place where fresh ideas are welcomed and initiative is valued.
The facilities are designed with the children in mind—safe, engaging, and equipped with everything you need to help each child move forward, from quiet spaces for regulation to dynamic areas for hands-on learning.
Do You Need Experience?
Experience is helpful—but heart comes first.
If you’ve worked in care, teaching, youth work, or community roles—or you’re someone who’s naturally calm, empathetic, and level-headed in a challenge—we’d love to hear from you.
Qualifications in childcare or health & social care are a plus, but not essential. Whether you're a teaching assistant, care assistant, social worker, nurse, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, there’s space for you here.
