Service Operations Manager

Salary: £39,500 to £49,500 - depending on experience + Fantastic Benefits

Working in Bupa Health Clinics you’ll play a key part in delivering our Remote Primary Care Services, supporting clinicians and operational services to deliver exceptional standards of Customer Service and World Class patient care.
The role
The Service Operations manager will be accountable for leading and managing a range of services to ensure performance is optimised, and clinical governance process are adhered to, in line with CQC regulations and Bupa Policies.
The role holder will be accountable for driving and improving operational performance across multiple service lines, in line with Key Performance Indicators and commercial targets. As a leader you will have the autonomy to make decisions, using your own initiative, to drive successful performance and create a culture of continuous improvement.
How you’ll help to make health happen
1. Lead and manage commercial and business needs of the service, overseeing and maintaining customer and business relationships, using data to drive informed decision making.
2. Take ownership of capacity management and develop innovative solutions to maximise capacity and seek opportunities for increasing the revenue into services.
3. Keep an active talent and succession plan in place, creating and supporting targeted development opportunities.
4. Ensure clinical governance processes are in place, creating a coaching and performance culture, and actively managing performance issues.
5. Taking responsibility for compliance, ensuring that all regulatory standards are achieved.
6. Actively monitor financial performance to deliver a sustainable, profitable service.
7. Directly manage and influence the operation and clinical lines, ensuring structure and roles are staffed appropriately and in line with Bupa values.
8. Champion a continuous improvement mindset, whilst maintaining and engaging a remote workforce.
What’s needed for this role
9. Experience of operational leadership and management within a customer-focused environment.
10. Proven track record of managing a large workforce in a remote setting.
11. Experience within a healthcare setting is preferrable.
12. Experience of change management and continuous improvement.
13. Experience with managing budgets and commercial targets.
14. Experience of customer and stakeholder management across all levels.
