My Pension Expert – Data Analyst - Job Description
Role Summary:
We are a fast-growing business where data is central to how we operate and grow. We are seeking a Data Analyst to expand our analytics capabilities and deliver insights that drive measurable impact.
In this role, you'll use our modern data stack to analyse complex datasets, identify trends, and apply predictive techniques to generate forward-looking insights that solve challenges across the business. Your work will span areas such as marketing mix optimisation, funnel performance, and intent modelling, with a focus on turning data into clear, actionable recommendations that enable smarter decisions and greater operational efficiency.
Outline of Role:
* Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that inform commercial decision-making.
* Build and deploy predictive and statistical models (e.g. regression, classification, time-series forecasting) to support business needs such as lead intent modelling, marketing mix and funnel conversion rate optimisation.
* Monitor and maintain predictive models to ensure they remain accurate, reliable, and business-relevant.
* Contribute to our existing Power BI reporting suite by incorporating new insights from analysis and ensuring dashboards provide both operational and forward-looking value.
* Conduct exploratory and ad hoc analysis, translating business questions into clear, actionable insights.
* Support stakeholders by offering data-driven recommendations.
Essential Criteria
* Experience building and applying predictive models (e.g. regression, classification, forecasting), with the ability to further develop these skills.
* Proficiency in analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources to deliver clear, meaningful insights.
* Confidence working with datasets in Excel, SQL, and BI tools such as Power BI.
* Self-starter with a strong work ethic, curiosity, and excellent communication skills.
* Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to evolving technologies and analytical approaches.
This role requires flexibility. Completion of other duties may be required at the discretion of the Senior Leadership Team.

Key Knowledge Required - Essential (E) and Desired (D)
* Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or another quantitative field (E)
* Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modelling techniques (E)
* Proficiency with Excel and data visualisation tools such as Power BI (E)
* Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for analysis and modelling (E)
* Ability to write database queries using SQL (E)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights (E)
* Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure) and experience supporting model deployment and monitoring (D)
* Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) (D)
* Awareness of digital marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, or Meta (D)
