HW Finance are supporting an SME based in the Goole area to recruit an Immediate Starting, Hands-on Bookkeeper/ Finance Manager to solely look after the finance function. The role is 5 days per week, but comes with many good benefits including major money saving discounts. Flexible working hours to suit family time, additional holidays etc. This is due to a 3-6 Month temporary to permanent opportunity. Within the role you may be involved with: Manage purchase and sales ledger processes, including invoice handling, reconciliations, and payment runs Oversee credit control: perform credit checks, chase debts, and manage aged debtor reports Support financial and management accounts preparation, including month-end journals, accruals, and reconciliations Assist with statutory accounts and audit preparation, ensuring compliance and accuracy Prepare cashflow forecasts and monitor working capital Compile and present board packs with financial insights, KPIs, and performance commentary Liaise with the board of directors and senior leadership, providing clear financial reporting and analysis Maintain accurate financial records and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders About You: Strong Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable experience, ideally in a busy or multi-entity environment. Confident working autonomously and dealing with senior stakeholders A clear, approachable communicator who can work effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
