Vacancy Title: Head of QHSE
Location: Peterhead
Engagement Type: Permanent, Full Time
This role leads regional development and implementation of a quality assurance strategy. It drives regional activity to gather, analyse and interpret quality assurance data to advise on improvement to key / critical regional business processes.
Duties And Responsibilities
* Implements and maintains Survitec regional compliance programme, ensuring Quality and HSE systems and procedures are in accordance with global framework and regional regulation.
* Implements systems and practices needed to monitor and assure compliance with Global IMS policies, group and customer requirements. Compiles statistical analysis of activity and outcomes and recommends improvements.
* Advises regional leadership team on global QHSE framework, steps needed to improve regional Quality and HSE performance and on any QHSE compliance issues.
* Conducts regional, operational, health, safety and environmental audits, as per the QHSE audit calendar, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are agreed with regional leaders and colleagues. Resolves issues arising from audits and refers serious or contentious issues to the Director of QHSE.
* Communicates the local QHSE action plan, explaining how this relates to the region’s strategy and action plan and the broader Survitec mission and vision. Ensures all regional colleagues are aware of their responsibilities towards group and local QHSE policy and process and motivates people to achieve local business goals and drive continuous improvement.
* Leads and/or participates in quality or HSE incident or non‑conformance investigations and customer complaints. Ensures QHSE related incidents are recorded and reported appropriately. Ensures lessons are learned and identifies improvements as a result of findings.
* Monitors supplier CAPA and improvement actions.
* Leads by example, carrying out projects to drive continuous improvement of the overall QHSE systems and processes.
* Conducts Annual Regional Management Review to schedule, enabling compilation of the Global QHSE Review.
* Uses Survitec’s formal development framework to identify the team’s individual development needs, planning and implementing actions to build their capabilities. Provides training or coaching to others throughout the organisation to increase awareness and capability in quality and HSE management, enabling others to improve performance and fulfil personal potential.
* Manages and reports on team performance. Sets appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and holds them accountable for achieving these. Takes appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team and personal objectives.
* Delivers a budget for the region’s QHSE activity.

Experience and Qualification
* Educated to University degree / post‑graduate master’s degree level.
* 6 – 10 years of general experience together with substantial job‑related experience, operating at fully competent level.
* 3 – 6 years of management experience, planning and managing resources to deliver functional objectives.
