About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural engineering and be required to diagnose, repair, service and maintain a wide range of agricultural, horticultural and construction machinery.
The role will require you to plan your daily workload with minimal management input, liaising with customers to organise work and meet deadlines.
You will:
* Be responsible for repairing and maintaining Agricultural machinery including tractors, telehandlers, balers, cultivation machinery and much more
* Diagnose and repair problems with machinery efficiently and to a high standard
* Need to work well on your own as well as part of a small team
* Travel to customers in the surrounding area of our depot to service and repair machinery. (Must have a full driving licence)
* Be occasionally required to assist the HGV team with repairs and maintenance on HGVs and trailers
Skills required
* Well organised and able to manage time efficiently
* Able to communicate with a wide range of customers and colleagues.
* Able to problem solve and work under pressure in sometimes challenging conditions and deadlines.
* Experience in working with agricultural machinery and willing to work overtime in peak farming and agricultural seasons.
* Competent with diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment such as Jaltest or similar
Beneficial but not essential
* Qualified in Land Based Engineering at a Level 3 (or have an equivalent qualification in HGV, Plant or Construction)
* Experience in welding and fabrication
* Experience with hydraulic systems and repairs
* HGV driving licence
