Bournville Manufacturing is the home of the UK’s most iconic confectionary brand, Cadbury’s. We are now looking for a Process Engineer to join us at the heart of our manufacturing operations within different areas of the plant.
Process Engineers play an important role in the department, maintaining systems and performing tasks and activities that support our continuous improvement (CI) processes and culture. They become experts in the technologies of our lines, support data collection, ensure its accuracy, execute CI projects, support root cause analysis to resolve line issues, and keep track of the department KPI scorecards.
How You Will Contribute
1. Understand and analyse process variability, root causes, and define systems to eliminate them.
2. Design and define critical process parameters and centrelines; track and ensure adherence to them.
3. Provide technical confirmation to any request or project proposal that affects the process or equipment.
4. Look for innovation opportunities between teams with a willingness to experiment and confront complex problems.
5. Implement and maintain systems to collect, collate, and analyze data on key process parameters.
6. Identify and prioritize process capability issues for performance or quality.
7. Coach and teach the team to solve these issues.
8. Identify problems in existing products or processes and propose solutions.
9. Take responsibility for implementation by leading and coaching the line teams.
10. Solve technical problems of high scope, complexity, and ambiguity.
11. Facilitate root-cause analysis to address losses and KPI gaps.
12. Establish new work standards to sustain improvements.
13. Ensure a high level of technical competence within the team.
14. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will own data collection and analysis, maintaining, optimizing, and improving performance using CI tools.
What You Will Bring

* Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Manufacturing.
* Strong interpersonal collaboration skills.

* Shop floor credibility.
* Knowledge of CI processes.
* Facilitation skills for team discussions on CI activities.
* Application of lean and/or TPM tools.
* Organized and disciplined to support Daily Management System.
* Logical and structured thinking for data insights.
* Knowledge of process machinery.
* Knowledge of safe working practices and industry standards.
