Vacancy Details
As a Maintenance Engineer, your main responsibility will be carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of plant and machinery, with a focus on electrical systems. You'll work closely with the production team to coordinate planned downtime and ensure that resources are allocated effectively.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to understand both the electrical and mechanical aspects of the equipment and how each plays a role in the production process. Your insights and recommendations will help reduce downtime and drive improvements to our maintenance practices.
Health and Safety is central to this role—whether you're isolating machinery, completing permits to work, re-commissioning equipment after electrical repairs, or identifying parts to keep everything operating smoothly.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (preferably with an electrical focus) or be time-served with both electrical and mechanical experience. Ideally, you’ll have at least 3 years’ experience maintaining equipment such as overhead cranes, CNC machines, and carrying out both planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
