Role Overview
Ant International is seeking a Business Development Representative to join the Alipay+ EMEA Business Development team. You will be responsible for the in-store acceptance of Alipay+. Your key tasks will include visiting merchants in key commercial areas, deploying Alipay+ POSM to ensure brand visibility, and verifying payment functionality. Regular travel to commercial areas across the UK is required.
This role is ideal for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills who is personable, eager to travel, and comfortable being on the ground frequently to engage with retail store personnel. If you are more \"street smart\" than \"book smart,\" this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities
* Store Visits: Identify, qualify, and secure merchant partnerships, focusing on key retail, F&B, and tourism destinations frequented by Asian travellers.
* POSM Deployment: Select appropriate point-of-sale materials for each store environment and deploy them effectively to maximise brand presence.
* Payment Verification: Ensure a seamless and smooth digital wallet payment experience for Alipay+ merchants.
* Market Presence: Act as a local ambassador for Alipay+, establishing a strong brand presence and promoting the Alipay+ value proposition.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* Over one year experience in business development, lead generation, or client-facing roles.
* Excellent verbal communication skills in English.
* Positive and resilient attitude; comfortable handling rejection and maintaining momentum.
* Ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple priorities. Have the legal right to work in the UK.
Preferred
* Previous experience in retail, merchant acquisition or related industry.
* Basic knowledge of mobile payments.
* Insight into the shopping behaviours of Asian tourists in the UK market is highly advantageous.
* Established network within UK retail, F&B, or tourist attraction sectors.
