Senior Recruitment Consultant - Specialising in Business Support
Location: Berkshire area (Multi-site role)
Are you an experienced Estates or Facilities Manager looking to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward thinking multi-academy trust, overseeing a portfolio of educational sites to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient estates operations.
The Role
You will work closely with the Head of Estates to manage buildings, grounds, compliance, and site teams across multiple academies. Your primary focus will be on statutory compliance, health and safety, maintenance planning, and the performance management of site-based staff and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day estate operations across multiple school sites.
* Manage health & safety compliance, including risk assessments, fire safety, and audits.
* Supervise and support site teams, including cleaners and premises assistants.
* Coordinate and oversee planned and reactive maintenance works.
* Liaise with contractors and ensure best value on works and services.
* Provide input on refurbishment projects and minor capital works.
* Act as point of contact for emergency callouts and keyholding responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience managing multi-site estates or facilities, ideally in education or public sector.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
* Confident in managing staff and contractors with a hands-on approach.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* IOSH/NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is desirable.
