Job Title: Senior Care Assistant - Days
Salary: £16.15ph (£15.15ph for 18-21 year olds)
Hours: Full Time (7am-7pm, x3 shifts 1 week, x4 shifts the next to include alternate weekends)
Location: Oxendon House Care Home, Market Harborough, LE16 8NE

About Oxendon House:
Oxendon House is located in quaint village of Great Oxendon (3 miles to the south of Market Harborough). The home is set around an attractive country house, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal and dementia care for 43 residents.
Role Responsibilities as a Senior Care Assistant
* Providing the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting our residents in all aspects of daily living.
* Responsibility for promoting our resident's independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing and to give input during shift handovers.
* Leading your shift to ensure high standards are maintained, and other members of the team feel supported.
* Completing the daily medication rounds and document consistently without errors or any issues being picked up on the medication audits, ensuring the daily charts are completed to a high standard by all team members on all shifts you'll be responsible for leading.
* Promoting good practice in all aspects of care, and challenge poor practise from other team member. ensure one to ones for all care and support team members are done every two months and investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager.
Role Requirements as a Senior Care Assistant
* Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
* Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant in residential / nursing home setting.
* Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
* Understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.
* Reside within 30 minutes of the Home.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Leadership and people skills.
* A caring and nurturing attitude.
* Positive and enthusiastic outlook.
* Time management skills.
* Written and oral communication skills
