Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Cambridgeshire.

We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Cambridgeshire.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We keep the team around the child, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with various learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to increase their engagement and improve their educational outlook.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role:
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs referred by local authorities and schools
* Supporting their educational and social-emotional development through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
* Planning each teaching, tutoring, or mentoring session
* Delivering holistic and engaging sessions tailored to their needs to enhance their educational and social-emotional journey
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available to obtain at cost)
* Two professional references
* Must be based in the UK with the right to work, including for remote assignments
It is essential to promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people and adhere to safeguarding policies at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor employment status:
* Engagement as a Worker on a short-term basis as needed
* Contract for service paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers your work for us
* Not a self-employed position
