PART TIME RAMP TEAM LEADER - FIXED TERM
Pay: £17.75 – £18.91 per hour (depending on experience)
We are currently offering a fixed term contract until 31st October 2026 with the possibility of an offer of a permanent contract at the end of this period.
We are seeking a Ramp Team Leader to join our team at our busy airport terminal. The successful candidate will be responsible for The ramp team leaders will oversee the day to day airside operations including OTP, loading/unloading of baggage and cargo. Meeting aircraft, equipment preparation and equipment safety checks, including team oversight., ensuring safety and security standards are maintained throughout their shift. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and value punctuality.
Given the nature of this role, you must be available to cover the all shift times 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including Bank Holidays and religious festivals, day shifts and night shifts possible.
Duties
* Pro-activate management in shift planning allocating of resources and adapting to the needs of our customers schedules is vital in this role.
* Responsible for the loading and unloading of aircraft and associated below wing activities.
* Responsible for the performance management and development of the Ramp/baggage Agents.
* To liaise with the Gate Coordinator about any perceived issues
* Deliver highest level of service to our customer including OTP and baggage delivery.
* Deliver consistently high department standards through robust routines and processes, delivering operational excellence and be responsible for the safety of yourself your colleagues and our customers.
* Ensure all flights are prepared, brief and organise team, as per SLA requirements.
* Prepare GSE as per SLA requirements, ensure pre-use inspections are completed and only GSE safe to use is being used. Follow process for reporting faulty GSE.
* Complete delay reports and any incident accident reports.
* Collaborate with team members to meet operational deadlines efficiently.
* Conduct analysis of baggage flow patterns to optimise handling processes and minimise delays.
* Brand ambassadors of the airline and the handling company when working on the front line.
Requirements
* Must hold a valid Full UK Manual Driving Licence
* Must be able to demonstrate previous experience as Headset, Pushback, Hyloader operator
* Desirable skills: Towing Skill
* Must be able to obtain and retain a full airside pass including a satisfactory criminal record check
* Must be able to lift baggage and cargo weighing up to 32kg
* Excellent time management skills
* Strong analysis skills to identify potential bottlenecks or issues in ramp processing workflows.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
* Prior experience in logistics or ramp handling is advantageous but not essential.
