We have exciting opportunities for an experienced Senior Lead Pharmacist (band 8a 8b) working with one of our well known client trusts in the home counties. Main duties of the job • Strategically develop, manage and deliver the ICB formulary. • Coordinate trust input into a ICB formulary. • Develop and update key medicines management policies (Trust wide and those which impact across the ICP/ ICB). • Ensure effective functioning of the Trust Medicines Value Group (as Professional Secretary) and contribute / coordinate trust input into the BOB ICB Area Prescribing Committee (APC). • Oversee, support and monitor the entry onto the Trust formulary of NICE, NHSE and key professional guidance within statutory timeframes. • Evaluate efficacy, safety and cost impact of new medicines. • Develop, review and update formulary related clinical guidelines and shared care protocol. • Line manages the MRC Digital Transformation Technician. • Lead, direct and support staff under management within the MRC team. • Provide support to the day-to-day Medicines Information / Advisory Service in response to queries received by the MRC. • Support pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals to provide evidence-based information and advice regarding medicines. • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that high cost medicines comply with NICE guidance and are managed within commissioning intentions.
