School Maintenance Officer - Brook Acre Community Primary
The role
Commencing August 2025, the Governors would like to appoint an outstanding and highly committed person to join our excellent team of dedicated staff in the position of Maintenance Officer for the school.
This post is suitable for experienced caretakers, looking for the next stage in their career or experienced trades people looking for new experiences in a different position.
This is a full time, permanent role (37 hours per week, split shift, all year round).Term time hours are as follows:
* Mornings: 06:00 – 10:30
* Afternoons: 15:30 – 18:00
* 06:00 – 16:00 with 1 hour break to be scheduled within the day (day to be agreed with appointed person).
During School holidays, hours are more flexible and can be arranged in discussion with the Headteacher. All holidays are to be agreed in advance with the Headteacher, with the majority taken during school closure periods.
The successful candidate will be:
* Proactive, using initiative and looking out for areas of improvement at all times
* Highly motivated, determined to ensure the highest possible standards within the role
* Competent and efficient within all areas outlined on the person specification
* An effective communicator, keeping systems running and working with staff effectively and positively
* Dedicated and committed as a key member of the staff team
* A confident user of computers – developing new, electronic systems for checks and record keeping.
