RMS Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and delivery of mechanical engineering projects across a range of building types, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Undertake the design of engineering works in accordance with relevant standards and best practice.
2. Assist in the management and coordination of the in-house design team and junior staff members.
3. Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed reports, estimates, calculations, drawings, and specifications for the design of mechanical building services.
4. Design and develop systems such as heating, domestic water, ventilation, air conditioning, natural gas, control and renewable energy system and their integration into a variety of building types
5. Monitor site works to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
6. Provide supervision, guidance, and support to junior engineers and technical staff.
7. Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and other members of the design team.
8. Represent the company at client meetings, demonstrating professionalism and technical expertise.
9. Carry out any other duties that may be reasonably allocated in the interests of the practice.
About You
10. HNC Qualified
11. Technical Skills
12. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
13. Working knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit is advantageous.
14. Experience with Hevacomp and IES software is desirable.
15. Strong IT literacy and the ability to learn new software quickly as required.
16. Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
17. Strong self-discipline and the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
18. Focused on delivering client requirements promptly, accurately, and efficiently.
