Theratewillrangefrom£390LtdforthoseundertakingtheirL6CIOBcourseand£500Ltdforsomeonewithitandheavilyexperienced.AstrongworkingknowledgeoftheBuildingSafetyAct2022,FireSafetyAct2021andtheRegulatoryReform(FireSafety)Order2005,withtheabilitytoapplythesewithinasocialhousingcontext.Anunderstandingofbuildingsafetycaseprinciples,buildingcontrolprocessesandresidentengagementrequirements,alongsidetheroleoftheBuildingSafetyRegulatorandlocalauthoritygovernanceframeworks.Atleastthreeyearsrelevantexperience,havingdevelopedandmanagedBuildingSafety.Itisessentialthatcandidateshavethebelowotherwisetheywillberejected.AstrongworkingknowledgeoftheBuildingSafetyAct2022,FireSafetyAct2021andtheRegulatoryReform(FireSafety)Order2005,withtheabilitytoapplythesewithinasocialhousingcontext.Anunderstandingofbuildingsafetycaseprinciples,buildingcontrolprocessesandresidentengagementrequirements,alongsidetheroleoftheBuildingSafetyRegulatorandlocalauthoritygovernanceframeworks.Atleastthreeyearsrelevantexperience,havingdevelopedandmanagedBuildingSafetyCaseReports,coordinatedmulti-disciplinaryteamsandsupportedcontinuoussafetyimprovements.Confidentwithengagingwithresidentsandstakeholders,mentoringoperationalteamsandcontributingtoapositivecomplianceculture.ACIOBLevel6DiplomainBuildingSafetyManagement(orworkingtowards),supportedbyongoingprofessionaldevelopmentandeligibilityforrelevantprofessionalmemberships,isexpected.LambethCouncilownsandmanagesasignificantportfolioofsocialhousing,includinghigher-riskresidentialbuildings(HRB).Ensuringthatresidentsaresafeandfeelsafeintheirhomesisatoppriority.ThecounciliscommittedtomeetingitsobligationsundertheBuildingSafetyAct2022,theFireSafetyAct2021andtheRegulatoryReform(FireSafety)Order2005tohelpdeliversafe,well-managedhomesthatcomplywithallstatutoryrequirements.TheFire&BuildingSafetyteamleadsonensuringrobustsafetymanagementsystemsacrossthehousingstock,fosteringacultureofaccountability,residentengagementandcontinuousimprovementinbuildingsafetystandards.JobPurposeToprovideprofessionalleadershipandassuranceinthemanagementofbuildingsafetyforLambethCouncilsHRBs.Thepostholderwillensurefullcompliancewithrelevantlegislation,includingtheBuildingSafetyAct2022,theFireSafetyAct2021andtheRegulatoryReform(FireSafety)Order2005,alongwithassociatedstatutoryguidance.Theywilldevelop,maintainandmonitorBuildingSafetyCasesandBuildingSafetyCaseReports,coordinateresidentengagementonsafetymattersandactasakeypointofcontactbetweeninternaldepartments,residentsandexternalregulators.TheBuildingSafetyManagerwillworkcollaborativelyacrosstheorganisationtoembedaproactivecultureofsafety,transparencyandcontinuousimprovement,ensuringthatallbuildingsundertheiroversightremainsafeforoccupation.Responsibilities-LeadtheoperationalmanagementofbuildingsafetyfordesignatedHRBswithinthecouncilshousingstock.-OverseecompliancewiththeBuildingSafetyAct2022,FireSafetyAct2021,theRegulatoryReform(FireSafety)Order2005andthe FireSafety(ResidentialEvacuationPlans)(England)Regulations2025, ensuringthatstatutorydutiesarefullydischarged.-Build,maintainandreviewBuildingSafetyCasesandBuildingSafetyCaseReports,ensuringaccuratedocumentation,up-to-daterecordsandevidenceofeffectivecontrolmeasures.-Undertakeandcoordinateregularbuildinginspections,reviews,assessmentsandauditsrelatingtostructuralandfire&buildingsafety.KeyKnowledgeComprehensiveunderstandingoftheBuildingSafetyAct2022,FireSafetyAct2021,andtheRegulatoryReform(FireSafety)Order2005,andtheirapplicationinsocialhousing.Knowledgeofsafetycaseprinciples,buildingcontrolprocessesandhousinghealthandsafetycompliance.StrongunderstandingofresidentengagementrequirementsandtheroleoftheBuildingSafetyRegulator.Awarenessoflocalauthoritygovernance,socialhousingmanagementandregulatoryframeworks.RelevantExperienceProvenexperience(minimum3years)infireandbuildingsafety,housingcomplianceorarelatedfield.Experienceofdeveloping,managingandreviewingBuildingSafetyCaseReportsandothercompliancedocumentation.Demonstrateabilitytocoordinatemulti-disciplinaryteamsanddrivesafetyimprovements.Experienceofengagingwithresidentsandstakeholdersonsafetyandcompliancematters.Experienceofmentoringorsupportingoperationalhousingteamsincomplianceorsafetymanagement.Qualifications-CIOBLevel6DiplomainBuildingSafetyManagement(orworkingtowards).-Health&Safety-Evidenceofcontinuedprofessionaldevelopmentinfireandbuildingsafetymanagement.ProfessionalMembershipsMembership(oreligibilityformembership)ofoneormoreofthefollowingprofessionalbodiesisdesirable:-InstituteofBuilding(CIOB)-InstitutionofOccupationalSafetyandHealth(IOSH)-InstitutionofFireEngineers(IFE)-InstituteofFireSafetyManagers(IFSM)-RoyalInstitutionofCharteredSurveyors(RICS)-Orotherrelevantprofessionalorganisationsassociatedwithbuilding,fire,orsafetymanagement.TPBN1_UKTJ
