We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our Unplanned Care Therapy Team. The post holder will have the opportunity to gain experience in working across our busy A&E and Assessment areas, including frailty at the front door. There are opportunities to engage in training and development, innovative practice and service development. You will have professional support for your CPD from Band 7 Therapy team Leaders and support from Senior Occupational Therapists from other specialities as required. The post may also require working with the other inpatient therapy teams to provide senior therapy support. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join our teams.

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have an enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months.
Responsibilities
* Assesses and treats own caseload of patients/clients in a speciality and maintains associated records.
* Responsible for Training & Development of occupational therapy staff, students and other staff groups in this speciality. Supervise less experienced occupational therapists, assistants and students.
* Participates as a member of the therapy team and the MDT within a specified clinical area.
* Has a responsibility for own CPD and other developmental activities.
* Involvement in identifying and carrying out departmental audit, research or service development activity.
* Participates in weekend, evening and Bank Holiday on-call for acute respiratory patients.
* Participates in providing 7-day services and extended working day, as required by the service (service operates on extended hours rotas between 8 am and 6:30 pm).
