About The Role
Environmental Protection is an established multidisciplinary profession centred around the protection of our natural environment and public health.
As a member of our Environmental Protection Team you will fulfil an instrumental role in the coastal and rural district of North Norfolk. The role covers a variety of tasks including Statutory Nuisance and Antisocial Behaviour investigations (including noise, odour and light) and Environmental Crime Investigations.

This is a part time role, 15 hours per week (days of work will be set, but can be agreed mutually).
About You
An opportunity has arisen for an eager and enthusiastic individual to join the Environmental Protection Team at North Norfolk District Council.
Ideally you will either hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in combination with some relevant experience, however, we would consider applicants who are nearing completion of a degree in Environmental Science/Health or similar qualification. As an organisation we encourage professional development and support further training opportunities.
You must have excellent communication and customer care skills, the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. The ability to work well as part of a team as well as on your own initiative is essential. A full driving licence and daily access to a vehicle is essential.
This is a varied and rewarding role, the successful candidate will be well organised and able to work flexibly. Good interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.
