Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is looking for a Yard Operative who shares our passion for great service.

Branch hours: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and every 2nd Saturday morning 8 am – 12 pm.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome customers to the branch and engage actively with their projects.
* Learn about our product lines to advise customers effectively, aligning with Jewson Values.
* Assist in preparing customer orders, load and unload vehicles using a forklift (training provided).
* Check incoming deliveries and report any missing or damaged items.
* Maintain stock levels and conduct regular stock counts in the shop and yard.
* Keep the branch clean and tidy to make a positive first impression.
* Prioritize health and safety to ensure a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Experience
* Previous industry experience preferred but not essential.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
* Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
* Focus on health and safety.
* Ability to handle manual handling of bulky items.
