Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Fire and Security Installation Engineer with opportunities based nationally. Travel to our head office based in Wigan will be required from time to time. The position involves the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire and security systems, such as CCTV, access controls, alarms, and electrical components. Responsibilities include performing electrical wiring, ensuring compliance with safety standards, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with team members to deliver seamless installations. The role requires coordination with project managers to meet deadlines and high‑quality standards.
* Competency in Equipment Installation and electrical wiring practices
* Strong knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering
* Experience in Maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
* Familiarity with industry standards, safety protocols, and compliance requirements
* Relevant professional certifications or qualifications in engineering or technical fields
* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team
* Comfortable working on‑site and handling technical equipment
What We’re Looking For
* Strong technical and fault‑finding skills
* Good knowledge of BS 5839, BS 5266 and NSI/SSAIB standards
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently and lead small teams on site
* Industry compliance knowledge
* FIA units 1–5
* Electrical Qualifications/ BTEC/ NVQ
* Industry leading m anufacturer training (Avigilon, Hanwha, Gent, Advanced, Paxton, Lenel, Texecom, Honeywell)
* ECS/CSCS
* IPAF
* PASMA
