Job Summary
The Estates Department is looking for an experienced Building Maintenance Craftsperson to join their team for day‑to‑day maintenance of the hospital and support multiple community sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a high standard of work across estates engineering sites.
* Carry out a multi‑skilled approach to semi‑skilled work across core trade skills including painting & decorating, electrical/mechanical, and building/construction maintenance and repairs.
* Work with minimal supervision and as part of a team, assisting other craftsmen and providing cover during leave/sickness and vacancies.
* Carry Trust communication devices (pagers/bleeps) to respond to emergencies.
* Communicate politely and courteously with colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure high customer care.
* Keep service delivery managers updated with engineering and building issues affecting service delivery.
* Take directions and receive planned workloads from Estates Team Leaders or Estates Maintenance Planner Coordinator (EMPC) for completion.
