We are seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater / Vehicle Painter to join our automotive repair team. The successful candidate will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition, including bodywork repairs, surface preparation, and high-quality painting.
Key Responsibilities:Panel Beating:
* Assess vehicle damage and determine repair method.
* Remove and replace damaged panels or straighten and repair existing panels.
* Use specialist tools to reshape or cut and weld panels.
* Grind, sand, and fill repaired surfaces to prepare for painting.
* Work with steel, aluminium, and plastic vehicle components.
Vehicle Painting:
* Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting (sanding, masking, priming).
* Mix paint to match vehicle colour using paint mixing systems.
* Apply primers, basecoats, and topcoats using spray guns in a spray booth.
* Perform finishing processes such as polishing and buffing.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Panel Beater and/or Vehicle Painter.
* Knowledge of vehicle body repair methods and materials.
* Ability to use welding and body repair tools safely and effectively.
* Familiar with health and safety regulations in a body shop environment.
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Body Repair or equivalent (preferred).
* ATA accreditation (desirable but not essential).
* Full UK driving licence (preferred).
