Your new role
We are seeking apassionate, dedicated and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs in our client's fantastic school in their Early Years Foundation Stage. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s early development and learning journey and be part of the school's outgoing team.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with SEN needs.
2. Assist with personal care (nappy changing) and promote independence.
3. Ensure the child is engaged in all learning and activities.
4. Ensure the child ismunicating and engaging with other children.
5. Bepassionate and understanding.
6. Alter the delivery of learning to suit the child's needs.
7. Support the child’s social, emotional andmunication development.
8. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals.
9. Liaise with parents
10. Contribute to planning and delivering engaging EYFS activities.
11. Monitor and record progress, contributing to reviews and reports.
12. Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
What you'll need to succeed
13. Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification.
14. Experience working with children in EYFS, particularly those with SEN.
15. Understanding of child development and early years frameworks.
16. Ability to build strong relationships with children, staff and families.
17. Patience, empathy and a proactive approach to learning support.
18. Enhanced DBS.
19. Full right to work in the UK.
