As a Flight Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the accurate, timely, and secure delivery of inflight catering services to aircraft. This role serves as the key liaison between Newrest and airline staff, ensuring that all food, beverages, equipment, and special meal requests are handed over according to airline specifications and within tight operational timelines. You will play a critical role in maintaining service quality, compliance with aviation safety, hygiene standards and supporting a seamless inflight experience for airline passengers and crew. Roles and Responsibilities Be an ambassador for Newrest, maintaining the delivery of exceptional service and quality of all inflight catering requirements to some of the worlds leading airlines. Conduct daily tasks in accordance with Newrests, client and civil aviation authority compliance requirements. Plan, coordinate daily tasks before the start of each shift and work with internal colleagues to meet daily deadlines. Ensure all in-flight meals, special meals, beverages and equipment are assembled and loaded in accordance with client flight loading specifications and inflight orders. Ensure all completed carts/trollies are packed in line with airline standards and maintained at appropriate temperatures (hot/cold) prior to delivery. Seal all carts/trollies ready for dispatch, in line with CAA requirements. Effectively load airline food and catering supplies inside delivery trucks and at the Aircraft. Guide catering vehicles airside and ensure safety protocols are followed during loading and offloading. Report any issues such as delays, shortages, or damaged items to the unit management immediately. Utilise effective communications to minimise delays and resolve any issues with sustainable solutions. Essential Skills Must have a full UK driving license. Previous experience in airline catering, logistics, or customer service preferred, but not essential. A team player who can effectively manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physically fit and capable of working at heights, indoor fridge temperatures around 5 degrees, all outdoor weather conditions and fast-paced environments. Lift and/or push up to 25kg. Operational awareness with a good understanding of HACCP, COSHH, DDA, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and DFT requirements. Must be flexible to work shifts as operations run seven days a week requirement (including evenings and public holidays), you will be required to extend shifts depending on airside operational requirements.
